Homework assignments are subject to change. It is recommended that students use their agendas to keep track of homework assignments, books, worksheets and/or workbooks. Homework is used as an extension of what we will be doing in class. Assignments will not be given as extra work for the students to complete. I believe that it is important that students are allotted time throughout the school day to complete any given assignment. Work that is not completed by the student in class will be finished that night at home.
The student is responsible for getting absent work. I suggest that if there is a sibling or parent, they pick up the homework for the day to prevent the student from getting behind. Call the office or email me and the work can be sent up to be collected. If that is not the case, there is a chart hanging with a folder for each day in class with assignments and/or worksheets that the student can collect when he/she comes back to school. If a student knows he/she will be absent ahead of time, it is the responsibility of the student to ask for work ahead of time. Students are able to check the website for daily homework, but handouts are not posted. Students have one day per absence to make up the work.
